DC Alliance Empowering Homicide Survivors Incorporated was founded out of a need to aide and support the surviving families of homicide victims in Washington D.C. and the surrounding metropolitan areas. We act as a clearing house of supportive services for victims, co-victims, and families. We are a 501c3, non-profit, grassroots organization incorporated in 2009 and in good standing with the District of Columbia. Our mission is to serve, support, educate, assist, and empower victims, co-victims, and surviving families of domestic violence and homicides.

About

Events & Services

DC Alliance Empowering Homicide Survivors, Inc. provides the only pastoral care and chaplaincy training and certification program in the Washington D.C. metropolitan area. Our mission is to assist families of victims from the initial incident until the time the family feels we are no longer needed. To this end, we also offer domestic violence prevention and training intensives both online and in person.  Our other programs include talk therapy, mental health services, spiritual care, interfaith fellowship opportunities, retreats, conferences, and more. In 2020 we shared our vision to a group of victim advocates that homicide survivors needs more services, so we created and established the National Coalition of Homicide Survivors Service Providers, Training Sessions with outstanding keynote speakers. Our mission is to develop a national forum for best practices that addresses the well-bell of homicide survivors. Our training sessions are free of charge to our service providers on a monthly bases, offer resources sharing, professional development and it's a great networking opportunity.
